Installation & Configuration Overview #
To configure a user with ~.UcClient.~ for Freshdesk, configuration within both ~.Dimensions.~ and Freshdesk is required.
To perform this configuration, the following user accounts will be required:
- A user account with 'Manage Users' & 'Manage Billable Items' permissions on the ~.Dimensions.~ portal
- A user account with administrative permissions on the Freshdesk account.
- Firewall/Router administrative access to allow connectivity to the
https://*.myreports.cloud
domain (if currently restricted)
Please make sure you have access to all these systems before starting the configuration process.
External Communication #
~.UcClient.~ communicates with the ~.Dimensions.~ services for authentication and call events. Connections to ~.Dimensions.~ Services are made from the user's browser.
Any users of ~.UcClient.~ will require access to the following domain:
https://*.myreports.cloud
Licensing #
For a user to be able to have access to the ~.UcClient.~ client, they will need to have been assigned a 'CRM User' license on their ~.Dimensions.~ user account.
